Good Neighbor Insurance can help get international group health insurance for groups from 2 to 500 or more units. It is required that the group be bona fide and that billing be to one address only. Also 50 percent of the members of the group must apply as well as 75 percent of the eligible members. Members are considered "ineligible" only if they have insurance through another source, e.g. disability, social security, military or a spouse who is covered with company insurance.

Sometimes group insurance can be less expensive than individual policies. Also, in certain instances, group insurance affords better coverage. It also provides the option of guaranteed insurance coverage under the HIPAA Law once a person decides to relocate in the USA.

In most cases a certain percentage of the home base staff can be included in the group coverage. For example, if the total group numbers 20, at least 4 units can be located in the USA.
